If you’re anything like me and want to get cost-per-wear out of your clothing, then this is the time to squeeze every cent or penny out of your breezy, summer clothes and embrace the trends that exude the style and comfort of the warm season.
The retail industry will have you, hurriedly, packing away your summer clothing in preparation to make room for your autumnal purchases because… well, that’s their job. If you have already switched to new season mode, don’t. You still have time to wear effortless sundresses and light, flowy fabrics
Not only is it still warm enough to wear your aestival attire (yes, aestival!) but if you’re hit with a stiff wind here and there, you can always rely on some relaxed layering -throw on a shirt, cover-up or cardy and you’re good to go.
The goal is to wear and enjoy all my bold, bright colours before my brain automatically adjusts to the more muted colours of the next season. The real issue is that I do not want to be reminded that the lightness of summer is slowly slipping away. I would like to prolong the season of light attire and have my fashion choices be vibrant enough to reflect the joyful spirit of summer.
With this is mind, I am staying away from clothing retailers so that I can revel in the carefree, chic style choices that the end of summer has to offer. I am enjoying my flamboyant fashion fiesta and letting my style shine in the sun!
