“He picked on the wrong house to break into”
A burglar broke into the house of body builder Willie Murphy. This isn’t such an unsusual thing, except that Willie Murphy happens to be an 82 year-old woman.

Willie was about to go to bed when a man started pounding on her door, demanding to be let in. Of course, she called the police but in the meantime, the man broke down her door and forcibly gained access to her home.

Here comes the reason I want to be like Willie Murphy. At eighty-two, she works out and is strong as hell. She lifts weights daily and can dead-lift 225lbs – that’s as heavy as my boyfriend after two Christmas dinners and dessert. Apparently, she can do ALL the push-ups, including the ones where you put your fingers in a diamond formation and press your nose all the way to the floor! Yes, those ones. I maintain, she’s 82 years old.
Whilst the burglar was rummaging around her house, she grabbed a table (A TABLE!) with which to protect herself. I can’t remember the last time (or any time) I thought to myself, ‘I’ll pick up a whole table’. Willie said:
“I took that table and I get to working on him and guess what? The table broke”!

Then she blinded the man with shampoo and hit him with a broom. When the police finally arrived, he was so badly injured, they had to put him in an ambulance. In the words of Keke Palmer, ‘Sorry to this man’!

My takeaway from this – strength training is vital. Willie Murphy is an inspiration. Willie Murphy is WINNING!
